The weather is a bit chilly today but the team from Tom Hobson Excavating Company continued to make good progress.
We started to dig the foundation. So far no hidden diamonds have been found but there is a lot of clay.
Power Surveying completed the initial staking for the project.
Today we poured our first bit of concrete!
The construction trailer arrived today. My wife is very happy that we no longer need to keep all the construction drawings on the kitchen table. I might “accidentally” leave a few on the table just for fun.
Kind of funny that we only got one day of grading in before the first snow hit. Fortunately it looks like only a one day storm. We will likely have to wait a few days for the ground to dry up a bit again but hopefully back to grading next week.
After more than a year of planning and dreaming we finally started to move dirt today! Chuck Anderson Companies is the firm we are using for grading and you can see them in the picture below starting to dig up the lot in preparation for the more refined grading that will come next.
After months of research and interviews I am very pleased to announce that we have decided to partner with Flatirons Bank to provide construction lending for the project.
We selected Go Builders to be the general contractor for the project
